Earth is a realm of Mind, not a physical external place. We enter the Earth realm with a positive spin which is slowed down and sometimes reversed, through indoctrination into the external physical world idea. Even though it may seem real to you, the external world is just a mental projection of concepts.
Deep within us we remember the pleasure of our original spin and try to find it in the imaginary external world. As everything there is cut off from immediate Reality, we either knuckle down to a life of compromise or suffer so much, that we withdraw attention from external appearances and look within.
With sufficient persistence we rediscover the natural positivity of our original spin, which is now accompanied by an ache of past suffering. This is a particular Earth initiation: going through the suffering of separation from our true Self and being humbled and becoming wiser in the process. The ache is more than an initiation scar: it engenders a deep symbiosis of spirit and flesh. Now our energy spins positively again, but with a limp or wobble.
